In an effort to reduce false alarms, it is standard practice for most security systems to have a signal transmit delay of approximately :20 seconds. This in effort to give subscribers the ability to turn it off before the central station receives a signal. If a cancellation code is received during the primary transmission, the central station reserves the right not to dispatch. |
|
Movement of objects such as balloons and animals within the range of the unit may activate it, so please keep areas around the unit clear of free moving objects. Heating and AC vents and return register in close proximity may also be giving false detection. If that’s the case, please call for service immediately so the unit may relocated. |

Primary arming status will be ‘Stay’ or ‘Away’ mode on the touchpad. Once the system of activated, each zone remains in alert mode. Once a zone has been violated, the system will then activate sirens, and transmit a signal to the central station. Entering your personalized security code will then disarm the system. Enter your code again to reset the memory. |

Subscribers can drop by the office and fill out a special RP List in person or call our office. Customers can also make arrangements to have it done through fax. You must be a valid authorized user and it must be provided to Company in writing. |

Yes. Every system has battery back-up. How long will it maintain sufficient power depends on a couple items such as the age of the battery and the power-draw of the system. Typically battery power will last at least several hours. In the event that battery is low, a low battery report status will be transmitted and the central station will notify you. |
|
YES! Systems still function even without an active telephone line. This is known as a ‘local’ system. Audible devices will operate properly and the system will still attempt to communicate with dispatch. To help combat loss of signal communications, Hi Desert Alarm offers back-up communications… two options exist: Radio or Cellular. Contact your representative to see what’s best for you. |
