The design, installation, service and inspections of fire alarm systems and automatic fire sprinklers are regulated by the State of California Fire Marshall, Local Fire Authority (*AHJ), Building and Safety, and guided by standards written by National Fire Protection Association (*NFPA). Systems can either be designed for life safety and/or maintain building integrity.
